Construction Management & Project Controls Council


The RICS Americas Construction and Project Controls Council exists to further the acquisition of increased value to Users and Providers of development programs, and ensure the maintenance of our members’ professional standards and ethical behavior for the benefit of all. More specifically, we shall seek to achieve this by:
  • Promoting equitable risk and value in contractual relationships by building stronger collaborative teams.
  • Increasing value to membership by leading compliance through adherence to high ethical standards.
  • Improving confidence in project outcomes by facilitating an understanding of industry issues and methodologies, such as whole life value, Building Information Modeling and performance measurement.

Council Initiatives
  • Developing a road map for international measurement standards and application in various contractual settings.
  • Establishing clear definitions of project control and quantity surveying roles on development projects including terms of appointments, fee guidance and term integration.
  • Conducting industry survey on measurement standards and definition for QS and project control roles.
