Education and Standards Board


The RICS Americas Education and Standards Board (AESB) is responsible for  influencing educational standards, developing university course accreditation and partnerships, and consider routes to membership at the Associate, Member and Fellow levels. This board is made up of diverse members across the RICS Americas committed to education and membership policy issues.

Doug Johannson MRICS, of Avison Young in Calgary, Alberta, was appointed AESB Chair in March 2011. A member of the RICS Americas Board and representative on RICS' global Membership Board, Doug is also a trained assessor for the APC (Assessment of Professional Competence).

On December 1, 2011, the board was repopulated with the guidance of the RICS Americas Board, RICS Americas Councils, and RICS country leadership in Canada, the Caribbean and the United States. Additional postings are expected to be made in Spring 2012.
