The Gulf Coast Chapter of AACE International invites RICS members and guests to attend this interesting program with speaker Werner Pehlke, BASF SE - Ludwigshafen / Germany.

As a Cost Engineering Manager of Project Controlling, Cost Engineering & Engineering Governance, Werner Pehlke, BASF SE – Ludwigshafen / Germany, is responsible for Cost Engineering at BASF’s – Engineering and Maintenance division in Ludwigshafen Germany. With his group, he develops and maintains cost engineering methods & tools and is responsible for expert opinions on cost estimates for large capital projects. His group performs over 300 cost estimates a year, and he gives his expert opinion on all large capital projects for BASF worldwide. Werner holds a degree in electrical engineering and in business administration.

Mr. Pehlke's presentation will be an overview and discussion of estimating methods, factor determination, application of and adherence to engineering standards for chemical plants in foreign countries.
