RICS Americas and the Houston/Gulf Coast Chapter of the CCIM Institute present:
Architectural Trends and Construction Costs - Houston, TX

RICS Americas and the Houston/Gulf Coast Chapter of the CCIM Institute invite members and guests to attend this interesting program.

A panel of experts will present cutting-edge architectural trends along with current construction and other project costs. Office (base building and interior), industrial, retail and multifamily products will be discussed. Time will be allocated for Q&A.

About our speakers:

Randall Walker, AIA, LEED AP is an executive vice president and design director at Kirksey, responsible for a wide range of interior architecture projects. Randall joined Kirksey in 1979. He is a graduate of the University of Texas at Austin and a native of Temple, Texas.

Steve Mechler was named Operations Manager at SpawMaxwell in 2004 and elected President in 2006. After 10 years with Linbeck’s Houston office, Steve brought his expertise in medical construction to Maxwell Company Construction in 1991 and became an officer in 1995. After Tropical Storm Allison hit Houston in 2001, Steve managed the renovation at the flooded Memorial Hermann in the Medical Center, bringing three of their critical care buildings damaged by Allison back online in 39 calendar days. Steve has a degree in building construction from Texas A&M.

Don Grieb has represented the interests of major landlords and institutional building owners such as Gerald D. Hines Interests, Bell Atlantic, General Motors, and J. P. Morgan Investments for 15 years. As a project, construction and asset manager, he has been responsible for directing construction and leasing for buildings containing more than 10 million square feet of office, retail and industrial space. For the last 15 years, he has been applying this experience for the benefit of individual corporate clients by providing completely independent, objective, professional advice and management services during all phases of project delivery, with particular emphasis on the construction of commercial facilities. Don has a Masters Degree in Business Administration, is a registered Texas Architect and a Texas Real Estate Broker, and has been active in the Houston market since 1979.
