ASA NorCal Chapter presents:
ME 207: Advanced Cost Approach - San Francisco Seminar

ME 207 covers applications within various concepts of value; deriving numbers for and understanding terms such as excess capital or excess operating costs, exponents, physical deterioration, functional and economic obsolescence; use and development of effective age and age-life calculations. This 3-day seminar offers an optional 3-hr exam on Saturday afternoon for academic course credit. Breakfasts and lunches will be provided each day at the seminar location.

You will learn:
  • How to apply various concepts of value
  • How to derive numbers for excess capital or operating costs
  • How to distinguish between types of depreciation & calculate values
  • How to use & develop effective age & age-life calculations

Seminar Attendees will receive a copy of the ME 207 course manual.

Reaccreditation Credit: A uniform reaccreditation credit certificate will be awarded, verifying 24 hours of attendance; exam offered for academic course credit.

Who should attend? Appraisers, realtors, loan officers, attorneys, bankers, CPAs, and anyone involved in the appraising profession, regardless of area of work.

About the speaker:

Les Miles, Senior Member and Officer of the American Society of Appraisers (ASA), is accredited in Machinery and Equipment, Appraisal Review and Management (ARM) and Aircraft as an additional Technical Valuation discipline. He was elected to the College of Fellows of the American Society of Appraisers (FASA) in 2008. He currently serves on the faculty of the American Society of Appraisers, secretary of the international education “Plant and Machinery Conference” which gives programs throughout the world every two years, and is past chairman of MTS education.
