To be competitive in today's world, it is imperative to invest in infrastructure. Done well and strategically, it can help guarantee increasing prosperity and rising standards of living. Please join the New York District Council for an engaging discussion on major infrastructure projects planned and underway for the NY, CT and NJ region and their impacts on the economy, regional operations and potential for new real estate development opportunities. In addition, the joint ULI/Ernst & Young 2010 Infrastructure report will be distributed and important findings presented.

The program will include in part:
  • Update on major regional infrastructure projects and impacts including: Moynihan Station-the "new" Amtrak terminal; East Side Access-connecting Grand Central and Penn Stations; Intra-City High Speed Rail; 2nd Avenue Subway; ARC Project- a trans-Hudson Tunnel; and more
  • Exploration of future "big ideas" and innovations
  • Conclusions from Infrastructure 2010 Investment Imperative report, the fourth annual ULI/E&Y publication considered the definitive report on the topic.
