New Building Surveying and Facility Management Consulting Firm Based In Washington DC Area New York -- March 19, 2010 -- Gary Evans, MRICS, the RICS Americas representative for global Building Surveying and Facility Management professional groups, has launched one of the first RICS-affiliated Building Surveying and Facility Management Consulting companies in the United States. Launched on March 1, 2010, GPE Facility Consulting LLC quickly landed its first major contract supporting a facility management automation study for the International Monetary Fund. Based in the Washington, D.C., metropolitan area, GPE Facility Consulting LLC is well situated to provide capital planning and maintenance optimization services to major U.S. national organizations and the U.S. Federal Government. According to Evans “the need for these services is only going to rise as organizations try to more efficiently manage and maintain aging buildings with fewer resources.” Before founding GPE Facility Consulting LLC, Evans provided facility management consulting services for numerous U.S. government agencies, including GSA Office of Governmentwide Policy, Department of State, Federal Aviation Administration, Department of Health and Human Services and the Architect of the Capitol. He also reviewed entire U.S. Federal Real Property Profile (FRPP) database of more than 1.2 million facility assets (buildings, structures and land), analyzed and interpreted results and recently presented findings to the Office of Management and Budget (OMB).
