We encourage you to stay actively engaged in RICS by connecting and networking with the vast community of RICS members.
Here's your chance to make your mark on the profession by offering article contributions that can add value for your peers.
In an effort to advance and enforce standards in land, property and the built environment, and to promote the usefulness of the profession, we welcome news contributions focusing on the following sectors: Construction, Real Estate, Valuation and Sustainability -- from all of our members.
Specifications are as follows:
• Technical content 800-1500 words (word document)
• Bio of writer to follow content
• Photo of author
• Images (jpeg, gif, pdf files) of any projects, tours, and buildings relating to the article are welcome
• Name of company or organization at which the member is employed
Briefs: The Briefs are sent electronically to members and prospects within specific sectors. From there, we'll submit for global distribution. The key thing to remember is that these are distributed to people in the industry, so a piece with strong technical content is desired.
E-News: The E-news is distributed to all of our members, although it features news items, the content does not have to be as technical as the briefs. It could be as simple as a member achieving a particular goal, event recap, a member profile etc.
We realize that members also have full-time jobs, and time could be limited, but if you’re available to write an article, the deadline for submissions would be the first Monday of every month.
Based on the material, we would decide which medium (whether Brief, E-news or Modus) is most appropriate.
At the bottom of each article, we do either a member (please remember to send your bios and photos - gif or jpeg format) or company profile. In this regard, it would be preferable to use the member, but I'll leave that decision up to each individual.
Please send submissions to: alacroix@rics.org
