RICS Appoints a New Chair to the Southern California Chapter

April 15, 2011 - RICS Americas is pleased to announce the appointment of Peter M. Smith FRICS as the new Chair of the Southern California Chapter. He is an Executive Director and West Zone Property Tax Leader at Ernst & Young, LLP in Los Angeles, California. Mr. Smith is an Immediate Past President and an Executive Board Member of the National Council of Property Taxation and a Panel Member of the American Arbitration Association. He has over twenty five-years of experience in the property tax field, serving national and international clients in a wide array of real property and personal property tax engagements. “Our Chapter Board has established a strong foundation in the Southern California region and has continued to provide educational programming and networking opportunities for our membership. I look forward to these successes growing under Peter’s leadership,” stated Chris Gray FRICS, Immediate Past-Chair of the Southern California Chapter.
