RICS AMERICAS ANNOUNCES STEVE WOLFE AS DEVELOPMENT DIRECTOR

Program and Membership Expert Brings 20 Years Experience to Leading Property Professionals Association

NEW YORK – April 2, 2009 – RICS Americas, the New York-based division of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors, the world’s leading membership organization for professionals in property, land, construction and related environmental issues, announced today the appointment of Steve Wolfe to the position of Development Director.

Wolfe has spent nearly 20 years in the association management field and has extensive experience in membership development and marketing, conference planning, chapter relations, information systems development and new program development.

“RICS Americas members provide a critical advisory and service role to their clients, governments and the public at large,” Wolfe said. “By developing programs that serve our members and encourage new members to join, we aim to strengthen the association’s ability to enable property professionals to network with each other and reach clients who rely on their vital services. I also look forward to working with our chapters across the Americas as they set their activities and agendas for this year and beyond.”

Wolfe has held senior executive positions with the National Coffee Association, the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, and the Risk and Insurance Management Society. Wolfe is an expert in membership development. Prior to entering association management, he spent more than five years on Capitol Hill as a legislative aide to former Congressman George E. Brown, Jr. (D-CA) (deceased).

Wolfe holds a BS in Communications from the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, N.Y., and is married with two children: Zoe, 15, and Bram, 12.
