NEW YORK - October 26, 2010 - RICS Americas is pleased to announce the appointment of new Chairs to six RICS chapters in the United States and Canada. There are currently more than 20 RICS Chapters in the Americas region that are managed by RICS members, with support from RICS Americas staff based in New York and Toronto.
"In selecting the highly respected leaders in their professions to chair six local chapters, RICS is confident that the individuals will help achieve three primary goals for their regions--gain market recognition of RICS standards, foster networking opportunities and provide knowledge through educational programs," said Neil Shah, RICS Director, North America. He continues that, "these members have been valuable assets to the organization, and we're excited to have them promote the RICS brand and cultivate new opportunities in their local markets."
The newly appointed Chairs of RICS chapters are:
Stephen Bullock MRICS MSRE MAI (New England Chapter), President, Bullock Commercial Appraisal, Lexington, Massachusetts. Mr. Bullock has more than twenty years' experience in commercial real estate appraisal and consulting, including due-diligence for acquisitions/dispositions, pre-development phase consulting and feasibility studies.
Tim Gifford MRICS (Florida Chapter), Area Director - Capital Markets, Aguirre Newman America, Miami, Florida and RICS Americas Board Member. Mr. Gifford brings over 15 years of industry experience and has advised institutional clients on over USD two billion property acquisitions and financings in the Latin American region.
Bruce Kellogg FRICS MAI (Southeast Chapter), Senior Vice President, ARGUS Software, Atlanta, Georgia. Mr. Kellogg is responsible for Industry Relations based on his 38 years of service within the appraisal profession and real estate industry, including working nationally for major financial institutions and full-service companies.
Charlotte Kang MRICS MAI (Southeast Chapter), Vice President, Colliers PKF Consulting, Atlanta, Georgia. Ms. Kang conducts and manages a diverse assortment of consulting and appraisal assignments with major focus on the hospitality and lodging industry in the United States, the Caribbean Basin and Central America.
Eric Walters FRICS (Southwest Chapter), Principal, Eric Walters & Co, FRICS, Phoenix, Arizona. Mr. Walters is a senior executive with broad expertise in real estate advisory, brokerage and development. His experience spans global regions including Hong Kong, the United Kingdom and the United States.
Paul Smith FRICS BSc MBA (Canada - Prairies Chapter), Vice President, Edon Management, Alberta, Canada. Mr. Smith has over 30 years' international experience of integrating commercial real estate projects, construction management, facilities and asset management into new service delivery models. He is currently focused on asset and facilities management in Alberta and western Canada.
