RICS CEO to Address Sustainable Valuation Concerns at Globe 2010 in Vancouver March 25

New York – March 16, 2010 – The green economy and green buildings are portrayed as providing opportunities for economic development – but how do they affect value? Since not everything that is green turns into gold, and as industry adapts to a changing economy, the need to identify how value is affected by sustainability is creating finance, audit, accounting and appraisal challenges.

Come hear RICS CEO Louis Armstrong report on international attempts to link sustainability and value at a breakfast panel hosted by the Vancouver Board of Trade.

In March 2007 representatives and professions from 20 countries signed the Vancouver Valuation Accord and agreed to work on an improved understanding of the linkage between sustainability and value.

As a follow up to that accord, a breakfast and a workshop series have been organized for Thursday, March 25, in the Vancouver Convention Centre:

A breakfast forum with the Vancouver Board of Trade, including standards, best practices and summary case studies, followed by an executive panel discussing the linkage between value, sustainability and the green economy. Cost is $59 plus tax for both Board of Trade members and non members. Please us the promo code “GLOBE” in the comments box when registering. To register, please click on: http://bit.ly/aJPdbV
