RICS Americas Rocky Mountain Chapter Granted Membership by the Colorado Coalition of Appraisers

March 16, 2011 - The RICS Americas Rocky Mountain Chapter recently became a Member of the Colorado Coalition of Appraisers (CCA). As a Member, the Chapter is entitled to appoint one voting Board of Directors Member to the CCA Board and receive acknowledgment and logo placement on the CCA website and at CCA events. The Chapter is also entitled to lobbyist representation concerning valuation issues in the State of Colorado.

On May 4, 2011, the Colorado Coalition of Appraisers, in cooperation with Colorado State University, will hold The Colorado Valuation Symposium 2011: Appraisals and Your Taxes. The IRS Western States Engineering and Valuation Territory Manager for Engineers and Appraisers and a panel of six top valuation experts, including RICS Rocky Mountain Chapter Chair, Dennis Webb FRICS ASA MAI, will discuss what it takes for appraisals to be understood and accepted by IRS and the Court. About the Colorado Coalition of Appraisers:

The mission of the Colorado Coalition of Appraisers is to promote public trust in the Appraisal profession by: influencing the legislative and regulatory process; representing the profession’s consensus on issues affecting Colorado’s appraisers; providing a liaison between the Appraisal profession and legislative and regulatory bodies.
