| RICS (Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors), the global professional real estate organization, compiles a quarterly survey of trends in commercial property in cities around the world. This survey was featured in the May 29th edition of “The Economist” magazine and on CNBC’s Worldwide Exchange may 19th and is gaining a growing reputation among real estate investors. Participation is NOT exclusive to RICS members and draws on the views of many real estate professionals from both large and small practices. The questions require a very simple response by ticking “up, down or the same” to a range of questions about confidence, lettings demand, investment demand, and more. Crucially, the questions ask about how things have changed from one period compared to the last period and can be filled in via the city web link below. Access the survey here: http://www.markclass.com/surveys/websurvey.asp?ci=79&si=125 We invite you to participate in the current survey, which closes at the end of June. All responses will remain anonymous unless you wish to add a market comment, which will appear in our separate document containing agents’ city market views (see the link below). These comments cover more than 100 markets from Afghanistan to Zambia and offer a chance for agents to profile the latest projects and pipeline developments. Crucially, the survey input relies on timely individual sentiment from practitioners working at the forefront of the industry and does not represent the official views of individual firms. The latest edition plus agents’ comments can be found at the following web addresses: Q1 2009 PDF http://www.rics.org/NR/rdonlyres/2B60E982-7726-4F90-9A47-FEEDD89EF57B/0/gps_q1_09.pdf Agents ' comments http://www.rics.org/NR/rdonlyres/2CA93031-5E94-4350-BBEF-1D7AD14E6B00/0/RICSGlobalcitycommentsQ12009.pdf This survey is unique and draws on more than 1,500 real estate executives worldwide, across more than 100 locations. These professionals include agents, valuers, researchers, fund managers and senior real estate fellows. If you would like to be a media spokesperson in your local city, simply fill in the comments section of the survey. If you are not the best person to complete this questionnaire but would still like your firm to participate, please forward this email to the appropriate colleague. You can also use the link below if you now work in a different city market.
